Wall Collapses at Lynchburg 7-11 Store

Lynchburg, VA - Crews responded to the 7-11 on Bedford Avenue where the back of the store collapsed Wednesday. Police were called to store just before 5:30 p.m. When crews responded, they say they found the store structure had been compromised because of the wet weather. Fire officials evacuated the store, and Appalachian Power shut down power as well. "The entire back wall is unstable. It's collapsed into the back room of the store," LFD Battalion Chief Ricky Bomar said. No injuries have been reported. The store will remain closed until repairs can be made.
