VT's Pinder, Mantiply Sign Pro Baseball Contracts

Blacksburg - Two Virginia Tech Hokies drafted this past weekend have signed their pro baseball contracts.

Former Tunstall star pitcher Joe Mantiply tweeted that he has signed with the Detroit Tigers. The senior was picked in the 27th round by the Tigers.

And junior shortstop Chad Pinder of Poquoson, drafted in round two by the Oakland A's, has signed with the A's. Pinder hit .321 with eight homers and 50 rbi's in 60 games for Tech this season.
