VT-UVa Weeklong Coverage

Charlottesville - Hokies linebacker Jack Tyler says there's a reason the Commonwealth Cup has been in Virginia Tech's lockerroom for so long, and that the Hokies are going to make sure that doesn't change.

Tyler says this week is one all the players look forward to.
Jack Tyler, HOKIES R-SENIOR LINEBACKER, said "You know it's just a lot of fun playing these guys just because you know everybody. Most of these people you'd had relationships with at some point in your life, whether they'd be good or bad, and it just adds to the fuel of the game."
Brent Urban, CAVALIERS SENIOR DEF. LINEMAN, said "You know I think a lot of us are treating it like a playoff game. It's our bowl game, per se, and you know a lot of us are fired up. It's been forever since we've beat them and you know we really want that 'w'."
The Hokies and Cavaliers kick off at 3:30 Saturday afternoon in Charlottesville. Tech has won the last nine meetings, Virginia's last win in the series came in 2003 in Charlottesville.
