VT-UVa Weeklong Coverage
Charlottesville - The Cavaliers would love nothing better than halting that 9-game skid to Tech this Saturday in Charlottesville. The last UVa win in the series came AT SCOTT STADIUM in 2003.
But in the current 9-game winning streak, the Hokies have won their home games by an average score of 22-9. But in games AT UVA, Tech has been more dominant, winning on average 41-12. Numbers are fun to look at, but they mean nothing this Saturday.Andrew Miller, HOKIES SENIOR OFF. LINEMAN, said "The most important game of the year obviously for us is UVa. So some tension between us and this is going to mean a lot to all of us seniors to go out with a win."
Morgan Moses, CAVALIERS SENIOR OFF. LINEMAN, said "I've been a part of some great games here at Scott Stadium. And we talk about Georgia Tech when they were like number 7 when the fans rushed the field. So you know we win this game, I'm looking for two times that."
Virginia's defense has taken a beating this month. The Cavaliers are allowing nearly 50 points in their three games this month, that's one more point a game than the BASKETBALL TEAM is yielding in their six games. Five of UVa's 11 football opponents have scored 45 or more points.
