Blacksburg, VA - Virginia Tech is tightening security for Saturday's spring football game, which could draw as many as 40,000 fans to Lane Stadium.
Officials say events like the bombing at the Boston marathon serve as a reminder to remain vigilant about security and "get back on our game."
The game comes four days after the school marked the six year anniversary of a shooting on campus that left 33 dead.
Officials say police from surrounding communities will help with security this weekend.
Fans also will have their bags checked as they enter Lane Stadium.
