VT Researchers Develop Helmet That Detects Carbon Monoxide

Blacksburg, VA - Virginia Tech researchers say they've created a helmet for construction workers that can detect if carbon monoxide is in the air.

The wearable computer system has a sensor inside to monitor levels of carbon monoxide.

Whoever is wearing the helmet would be alerted of impending carbon monoxide poisoning.

The creation has already won the Best Paper Award, one of the most prestigious in the scientific and engineering community.
