Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe Visits Danville, Talking Jobs and Economic Development
Danville, VA-- Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe was on the Southside on Monday night. He threw the first pitch at the Danville Braves baseball game.
First Lady Dorothy McAuliffe and the Governor's Cabinet were also at the game. They will stick around in Danville on Tuesday.
McAuliffe's said his visit will focus on jobs and creating more economic activity on the Southside.
On Tuesday he will visit the Goodyear Tire plant, and he's scheduled to stop by the Danville-Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce State of the Region Breakfast. The governor will also hold a roundtable discussion on economic development and workforce development at Danville Community College Regional Center for Advanced Technology. He plans to round his trip off by touring the River District with local officials.
