VHSCA All-Star Games Begin Monday in Lynchburg

Lynchburg - After the past 20-plus years in Hampton, the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star Games and Clinics return to the Hill City for a three-year run beginning Monday night. It's estimated the Games could generate some eight million dollars of revenue to the area.The girls and boys basketball games at Lynchburg College tip off the week Monday night at 6 and 8, with girls and boys soccer Wednesday evening at 5:30 and 7:30. Baseball is also Wednesday night at LU at 7, the softball and volleyball games Thursday at Liberty, softball at 10:30 in the morning, volleyball at 2:30 with the All-Star football game Friday night at 7:30 at LU. Mike Cartolaro, EAST BASKETBALL COACH (ALTAVISTA), said "Very excited. You know it's a process we've worked on for three years and to actually see it materialize and be a few days away, we're real excited about it. And we're hoping the central part of the state is going to take advantage of it."
