LYNCHBURG - Head coach Butch Jennings said V.E.S. is laying a foundation and after a VISAA state championship win that foundation appears to be rock solid.
The Bishops (9-2) led 21-0 at one point en route to a 48-20 win over Fredericksburg Christian (9-2).
The trio of Tom Creasy (QB), Ronnie Stringfield (RB), and Trevon Fields (WR) provided an outpouring of offense.
Those three combined for nearly all of V.E.S.'s 474 yards of total offense.
Just one season ago the Bishops finished with a 1-8 record.
