Charlottesville - V.E.S. outscored Covenant 28-0 in the second half Thursday night to break open a tight game and beat the Eagles 34-0 in high school football action in Charlottesville.
Louis Williams scored on a short run in the opening five minutes of the game for V.E.S., but that was the only score of the first half as the Bishops led 6-0.
V.E.S. took charge in the pouring rain the second half, Tre Fields broke loose on a 57-yard touchdown run as the Bishops increased their lead to 13-0. Fields also hit some long passes to set up more scores and the Bishops got the shutout win on the road.
