V.E.S. Bishops Football - ABC 13 Team of the Week

Lynchburg - Today's ABC 13 high school Team of the Week is V.E.S. football.

The Bishops, after going 1-and-8 a year ago, are off to a 4-and-0 start this season under second-year head coach Albert "Butch" Jennings. It's the best start for V.E.S. since 2008. Saturday's win on the road at Atlantic Shores was an exciting comeback victory. The Bishops wiped out an early 20-0 deficit after one quarter, 26-0 at the half and scored the final 27 points of the game, 13 the final quarter to win 27-26.

Tom Creasy, V.E.S. BISHOPS QUARTERBACK, said "Like we were taken out for a little bit. We had to regather ourselves and get our self esteem back up for that matter. But we were very courageous throughout that game."
Ronnie Stringfield, who scored the winning TD, said "The difference between last year and this year is we don't have a big number but all of our guys want to play and everyone is on the same path and focused on, you know, the ultimate goal."
Dante' Jefferson, V.E.S. SOPH. RECEIVER, said "We're diverse. We can run the ball or we can pass it. It's like nobody can like really make a prediction on what we're going to do."
