Bedford Co., VA - VDOT is working one of two of the twin bridges area on 122 in Bedford County, according to spokesman Jason Bond.
Crews are working on the bridge above Goose Creek, Bond said Wednesday.
Signs along 122 warned of bridge work most of the week, but rainy weather has pushed back the bridge work a bit, Bond said.
Traffic on the Goose Creek Bridge is down to one lane as crews repair the bridge, Bond said.
The work will not take place Thursday, but will resume Friday into next week, weather permitting, Bond said.
The work will start around 8 a.m. and last through 5:30 or 6 p.m., Bond said.
Already a heavily-traveled area with sharp curves nearby, VDOT urges motorists to plan ahead for delays into next week as the work continues.
