UVa's Sims Excited for First Start

Charlottesville - College football, Phillip Sims makes his first start for UVa Saturday when the Cavaliers play at Duke at 3 o'clock.

Sims came in last Saturday after Michael Rocco's third interception and led the Cavs to two TD's in the final quarter against Louisiana Tech. Head Coach Mike London decided to elevate Sims to the starting role. The Alabama transfer says he'll just try and do the things he's been taught since he's been at Virginia.
Phillip Sims, MAKING HIS FIRST START AS UVA QUARTERBACK, said "I just want to get the offense going. I just want to go out and help my teammates, go out and make some good throws, lead the offense up and down the field, score some points. We're trying to get back on track as a team."
