UVa's Rocco, Canady Honored by ACC

Charlottesville - UVa quarterback Michael Rocco of Lynchburg is the ACC Offensive Back of the Week.

Rocco threw for 300 yards and four TDs in Saturday's 41-40 win over Miami. His career-high 29 completions included a school-record streak of 18 in a row and a game-winning 10-yard TD to Jake McGee with six seconds left. UVa teammate Maurice Canady, for the second week in a row, is the ACC Co-Defensive Back of the Week. Canady forced a key fumble at the UVa two-yard line that stopped a Hurricanes score. Now the Cavs have a quick turnaround with the Tar Heels coming to town for ESPN's Thursday Night Football.
Mike London, UVA HEAD COACH, said "We have to continue to keep doing that, continue to play confident even though Carolina is a very, very good team. We have to play with that passion and energy, I think you saw it again."
