UVa's Nolte Arrested for Public Drunkenness
Charlottesville - The Charlottesville Daily Progress reports UVa forward Evan Nolte was arrested for being drunk in public early Sunday morning.
The 20-year-old 6-8 junior was stopped around midnight because he smelled of alcohol, was unsteady on his feet and had slurred speech, according to the police arrest report. The report said the officer tried to have Nolte ride home in a taxi, but Nolte ran out of the taxi and was then arrested. Coach Tony Bennett is handling the incident internally, according to a school spokesperson.
