UVa Student Diagnosed With Bacterial Meningitis Recovering
Charlottesville, VA - Dozens of students at UVa are taking antibiotics after one of their peers was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis.
According to UVa's director of student health, the infected student is recovering.
The 47 students who had direct contact with that student are being treated as a precaution.
Bacterial meningitis can be deadly. Symptoms include fever, headache and a stiff neck, also nausea and vomiting.
