UVa Climbs to #3 in A.P. Poll

ACC Tournament champion and number 1 seed in the East Virginia has climbed to number 3 in the country in this week's AP rankings.
How good has Virginia been this year? Since losing by 35 to Tennessee on December 30th, the Cavaliers are 19-and-2 in their last 21 games. They're the 1 seed and face 16 seed Coastal Carolina Friday night around 9:20 in the NCAA Regional in Raleigh.
Joe Harris, ACC TOURNAMENT MVP, said "I don't think we really expected it. You know we saw the likes of like Louisville and Michigan hearing their names called and they weren't number one seeds, and then when it finally happened, it was definitely very exciting."
Virginia jumps up to number 3. Florida is still number 1 entering the Big Dance, Wichita State 2. Arizona, UVa, and Louisville round out the top 5. Duke dropped to 8, Syracuse is down to 14, North Carolina 19 and VCU 24.
