Pittsylvania Co., VA - The Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors has finally adopted a resolution on uranium mining, but it falls short of what some expected.
Their resolution that passed Monday asks state lawmakers to review studies on uranium mining and its effects.
But it does not make any recommendation on whether the state's 30 year ban on uranium mining should be lifted.
A company wants to mine a large deposit just outside of Chatham.
The General Assembly is expected to take up the mining ban in its 2013 session.
