Update: Victim of Deadly Danville Crash Identified


Danville, VA - Danville Police have released the name of the person killed in Monday night's crash.

Police responded to the accident a little before 9 p.m. at Arnett Boulevard and Wendell Scott Drive and found a car and motorcycle on fire.

Police say motorcycle's driver was thrown from the bike and killed. He has been identifed as Therman Stacey, 46, of Danville.
The driver of the car, Alisha Gregory, was able to escape. She was treated and released at the hospital.
Police say both drivers were on Arnett Boulevard at the time of the crash and collided as Gregory tried to make a left turn onto Wendell Scott.
No charges have been filed at this time.


Danville, VA - One person is dead and another in the hospital after a traffic crash in Danville Monday night.

Around 8:15 pm police said there was an accident involving a car and motorcycle at Arnett Boulevard and Wendell Scott Drive.

The fire department said the car was engulfed in flames. They were able to put it out and the driver got out safely.

The person on the motorcycle died.

Police said that the accident is under investigation and so far, there is no word on who was at fault.
