UPDATE: Two Killed in Henry Co. Shooting

Update 10:00 p.m.

A double homicide rocks Henry County.

Two brothers gunned down in Axton.

Officials say they found Alfonso Navarro-Pena, 40, shot inside his truck in front of 195 Daniel Road in Axton Friday just before 11:15 p.m.

Saturday morning, the body of Noel Navarro-Pena, 33, was found in the parking lot of 625 Sportsplex Way in Axton.

Officials say both men lived at 211 Sugar Tree Drive.

Upon executing a search warrant of that home, officials say they seized $28,000 in cash, 25 pounds of marijuana, 2.6 ounces of purported cocaine, four guns, ammunition, and several cell phones, among other things.

Autopsies are scheduled for Monday.

Henry Co., VA - An investigation is underway into what officials are calling an "unfortunate incident" that happened outside the Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville after hours. Captain Eric Winn confirms two men were shot and died from their injuries last night. Officials say both men are related. Winn says the first victim was found last night at 11:15 p.m. at 195 Daniel Road in Axton. His body was located at the edge of the roadway. Investigators say the second victim was found just before 6:15 a.m. at 625 Sportsplex Way in Axton. ABC 13 will bring you more information into this story as we get it.
