Roanoke Co., VA - Fire crews battled a blaze at Adams Construction in Roanoke County late Thursday night and remained on the scene into Friday morning.
The call came in about 11:50 p.m. Thursday about the fire at the plant on Peaceful Drive.
Officials say when firefighters arrived, they saw 20 to 30 foot flames coming from the building.
The crews were able to get the fire under control in about 10 minutes. Fire investigators have determined that the fire originated in the area of a recently installed hot oil heater.
Although the fire is determined to be accidental, investigators are not able to establish what specific component of the hot oil heater failed.
The heater is fed by natural gas and diesel fuel.
Damage estimates are $70,000. There were no injuries reported.
