Update: Pilot Identified in F-15 Jet Crash

The Massachusetts Air National Guard has identified the pilot of the F-15 that crashed in Augusta County Wednesday. They say Lt. Col. Morris Fontenot, Jr. died in the crash. Fontenot was a 1996 Air Force Academy graduate with more than 17 years experience flying the jets.
Military officials in Massachusetts say they've confirmed that the pilot of the F-15 that crashed in Augusta County Mountains was killed.
The pilot and jet were with the 104th Fighter Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard.
Authorities said the pilot of the single-seat jet was headed to New Orleans for radar installation as part of routine maintenance and reported an in-flight emergency before losing radio contact.
