Update: One Person Injured in Bedford Co. Crash

Update: 8:25 a.m.

Bedford Co., VA - Police say a woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a crash in Bedford County.

Crews responded to the scene on Centerville Road about 7:15 a.m. Wednesday and found a Jeep Cherokee overturned on the side of the road. They had to cut the woman from the vehicle.

Mitzie Denise Markham, 45, of Bedford was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital and is expected to be okay. Her vehicle was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

Centerville Road was blocked for about an hour but has now reopened.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
