UPDATE: Names of Injured Bedford Co. Firefighters Released Following Truck Accident

UPDATE: 11:39 a.m.

Bedford Co., VA - Virginia State Police have released the names of the injured firefighters involved in a truck accident Wednesday morning when their truck overturned.

The injured firefighters are:

Driver: Monty Coleman, 40

Adrian Blazejewicz, 28

An unidentified 17-year-old

Brad Ellis, 26,

and Zach Coleman, 18

All are from Forest, VA.

Another firefighter was transported to a nearby hospital. All six firefighters have now been released from the hospital.

The accident remains under investigation by state police.


Update: 10:56a.m.

Bedford Co., VA - Bedford County Fire and Rescue now says five firefighters were hurt when their fire truck overturned Wednesday morning.

A sixth firefighter was also taken to the hospital for evaluation, which is standard practice.

Five of the six firefighters are out of the hospital.


Update: 9:51 a.m.

Bedford Co., VA - Officials with Bedford County Fire and Rescue say all six firefighters on board a fire truck that overturned Wednesday morning were transported to the hospital for evaluation.

Two of the six were released.

The other four are being treated for minor injuries.


Update: 7:37 a.m.

Bedford Co., VA - Officials with Bedford County Fire and Rescue say four firefighters were injured after their fire truck rolled over Wednesday morning.

Officials say Forest Volunteer Fire Company's Pumper 5 was heading to a house fire on Wyatts Way about 6:30 a.m. when it was involved in the accident. The truck overturned with six firefighters on board.

Four firefighters were injured. Officials say those injuries are non-life threatening.

The accident is still under investigation.


Bedford Co., VA - The Bedford Fire Department says crews are responding to a report of an accident involving a fire truck.

According to the Bedford Fire Department's official Facebook page, the reported accident is on New London Road and involves Company 5. Company 5 is based in Forest.

The post says the fire truck rolled over. No word on any injuries.
