      Update: John LaRue Acquitted of Child Abuse

      Update: 11:30 a.m.:

      Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg judge has found a man accused of abusing a little girl not guilty of all charges.

      John LaRue was charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Child Abuse Causing a Serious Injury, and Child Cruelty. The not guilty verdict came down Tuesday morning.

      The victim's mother claimed LaRue injured her 16-month-old daughter in January 2010.

      Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg man is on trial for child abuse after being accused of abusing a little girl in his daycare.

      Juliana Thaxton is now four, but at 16 months old, Juliana's mother, Joleen says John LaRue damaged 60% of her brain.

      "I had a neurologist tell me that it was the worst case of child abuse he had ever seen." Juliana's mother said.

      LaRue will have a two day bench trial. He's charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding, Child Abuse Causing a Serious Injury, and Child Cruelty.

      LaRue's trial is set to resume Tuesday at 9 a.m.
