Update: Former Franklin Co. Teacher Pleads Guilty to Murder-for-Hire Charge
Update: 10:00 a.m.:Rocky Mount, VA - A former Franklin County kindergarten teacher pleaded guilty Tuesday morning to trying to have her ex-husband killed.Angela Nolen, 47, pleaded to solicitation to commit murder in Franklin County Circuit Court.Nolen faces five to 40 years in prison, and will be sentenced on August 9.Nolen paid an undercover state police agent $4,000 to kill her ex-husband Paul Strickler.Cathy Bennett, a school nurse at Sontag Elementary, is accused of helping her and is charged with conspiracy. Bennett has a trial set for July.

Angela Nolen is listed on the docket in Franklin County Circuit Court. A plea hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. Nolen is charged with solicit to commit murder.
Police say she paid an undercover state police agent $4,000 to kill her ex-husband, Paul Strickler. They say Nolen was going to pay the agent another $4,000 after the murder.
