Update: Crews Restore Power to All Customers in Danville

Update noon:

Danville, VA - Officials say all power has been restored to Danville customers in the West Main Street area Friday after a power outage.

Danville Utilities officials say it was restored at 10:45 a.m.


Update 10:50 p.m.:

Danville, VA - Utility crews in Danville were busy Friday morning restoring power to hundreds of people one part of the city.

Officials from Danville Utilities say nearly 2,400 customers lost power at 6:45 a.m. due to an overload at a Schoolfield substation. The outage is along West Main Street extending to the North Caroline line.

At last check, 200 customers were still waiting to have their power restored.

They expect to have all power restored by early Friday afternoon.
