Update: Car, Pickup Truck Crash in Bedford County

      Update: 11:15 a.m.:

      Bedford Co., VA - State Police are investigating a serious crash between a car and pickup truck in Bedford County.

      Emergency crews were on the scene Thursday around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Route 221 and Goode Station Road. A State Trooper tells us the woman driving a Nissan Altima ran a stop sign, and collided with a Ford F-350, which was heading toward Bedford on 221.

      The Altima made a circle through a grassy area on the corner, and stopped when it hit a utility pole. The woman driving the car was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.


      Bedford Co., VA - ABC 13 is on the scene of a two vehicle crash in Bedford County.

      The wreck happened on Goode Station Road and Route 221 in Goode around 9:00 a.m Thursday. One car ended up hitting a utility pole. A pickup truck was involved in the crash as well.

      There's no word on what caused the crash or how many injuries there were. Power in the area has not been affected.
