UPDATE: Bedford Co. Schools to Observe Moment of Silence for Jefferson Forest Teen

Bedford Co., VA - Extra counselors will be on hand Thursday at Jefferson Forest High School to help those who knew a 15 year old student grieve.

State Police say Bronwyn Mae Farris died in a crash Monday night on Route 221.

According to a spokesman for Bedford County schools, they will also observe a moment of silence for her Thursday morning.

State police say on Monday night, the car she was in rolled several times.

They say Farris was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car.

The 17 year old driver had non-life threatening injuries.

Police say speed was a factor.

Bedford Co., VA - One of the two teenagers involved in a rollover accident has died, according to State Police.

The accident happened a little after 10:30 p.m. Monday night on Route 221 near the True Value. Investigators tell us the 15 year old passenger, Bronwyn Mae Farris was not wearing a seatbelt. Farris was thrown from the car during the accident and was taken to UVa medical center where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The driver, 17, was taken to Lynchburg General with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say speed was a factor. The cause of the crash though is still under investigation
