UPDATE: Murder for Hire Suspect Kevin Colgan to Have Sanity Eval
UPDATE: Murder for hire suspect Kevin Colgan was in court Monday morning.Colgan's attorney asked for a sanity evaluation and the judge allowed it. Colgan will be back in court in November.A doctor will determine whether Kevin Colgan was sane at the time police say he tried to hire a hitman to kill his wife.----------UPDATE: Murder for hire suspect Kevin Colgan was denied bond on Tuesday.----------Bedford Co., VA - The Bedford County Sheriff's Office has arrested a man they say was plotting to kill his wife. Investigators say Kevin Colgan, 61, of Roanoke, was arrested Thursday morning after meeting several times with an undercover investigator. Colgan told the investigator that he would pay to have his wife killed. Officials say Colgan was in the process of divorcing his wife, Sarah, and made several threats against her, leading to a protective order against him. Colgan is being held without bond at the Bedford Adult Detention Center.
