Abused Dog in Danville Expected to Make It

Danville, VA -- A dog in Danville that was taken away from her owner because of animal cruelty and neglect charges is expected to make it.

Director of the Danville Area Humane Society Paulette Dean says this is one of the worst cases of animal cruelty that she can remember.
The Humane Society has named the dog Dawn. Dean says Dawn is at the vet clinic until Tuesday. She is undergoing a surgical procedure to cut out the dead tissue and repair her skin.
If you want to make donations, you can through the Humane Society's Facebook page.
The dog's owner, Paula Easley will be in court next month.
