United Way of Lynchburg Kicks Off Campaign
Lynchburg, VA - You'll be seeing some yellow doors popping up around Lynchburg this month.
The United Way's "Live United" Campaign's theme is "opening doors and changing lives."
The first of eight yellow doors has been set up in the traffic circle on Fifth Street. The doors represent the Community Care Fund for Region 2000, and are a reminder to donate to the fund.
Last year, the Community Care Fund provided service to over 62,000 people in the Lynchburg Region.
"At the end of the day we know that we are doing everything we can here at United Way to help those who are in need, and that's why I do it- is to be able to give back to the community and to be able to help," said Marie Martin, Executive Director for United Way of Central Virginia.
The yellow door campaign will run through March.
