Two People Arrested in Danville in Connection to Shooting

Danville, VA - Two people have been arrested in connection with Friday night's shooting in Danville.

Police say 21-year-old Walter Ricardo Robinson, Jr., and 22-year-old DeAsia Judia Lampkin, both of Danville, were arrested Saturday morning.

Just after 6 p.m. Friday, police responded to the 800 block of North Main Street for a report of shots fired.

They discovered an unresponsive black female lying in a driveway suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body was transported to the Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke for an autopsy. The victim was identified as 22-year-old Jordan Yasmine Sade Griffin of Danville.

Both face a number of charges.

Robinson is being charged with first degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and unlawful discharge of a firearm in city limits.

Lampkin is being charged with accessory to murder. Both are being held in the Danville city jail without bond.
