Two People Displaced After Roanoke Co. Fire

Roanoke Co., VA - Roanoke County fire officials say two people were displaced after an overnight house fire.

Crews responded to the home on Catawba Creek Road at about 12:45 Thursday morning and found smoke showing from the front door and flames coming from the side of the roof.

Officials say a couple who lived in the home was able to get out safely, but the woman was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation.

Officials say the fire caused extensive damage to the first floor of the home.
