Two LU Flames Named Preseason All-Americans
Lynchburg - LU seniors Jacob Hagen and Nick Sigmon have been named to the Sports Network FCS Preseason All-America second team.
Hagen's six interceptions last year were the most by a Flame since Richard Shelton in 1987. Sigmon is LU's active career leader in tackles with 174 in three seasons.
This is the fifth season in a row the Flames have had a representative on the Sports Network FCS Preseason All-America teams and the fourth-consecutive year Liberty has placed multiple players on the listings. Liberty was one of three Big South programs to have multiple selections on this year's Sports Network FCS Preseason All-America teams. Gardner-Webb led the way for the league with three selections, including one first, second and third-team honoree, while Coastal Carolina had a first and second-team honoree.
