Two Locals Create Garden Soxx

Lynchburg, VA - A local duo says they have created the gardening key.

William Layton and Dwayne Coleman have invented the Garden Soxx.

It was created right here in Central Virginia and is now sold in 11 states.

All you do is cut a hole in the top of the material.

Slide in a seed or plant.

And you can sit it anywhere and just water it from time to time.

"Anybody can plant this," said Layton. "The children, a lot of the children nowadays don't know how to grow anything. You don't need a tiller or tractor; you don't even need a piece of land to grow in."

The two have donated more than 100 Garden Soxx's to Saint John's Episcopal Church, who grows plants for The Daily Bread.
