Two in Hospital After SUV Overturns & Hits Fence in Lynchburg

Lynchburg, VA - Lynchburg police say speed played a role in an SUV that overturned Wednesday morning.

Officers say Brittany Stamps, 20, was driving on Chambers Street when she went off the road, then hit a fire hydrant and a chain linked fence and overturned.

Officers say Stamps and an 8-month-old child in the car were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Stamps was charged with reckless driving and driving with defective equipment.
