Lynchburg, VA - Two area construction companies have announced plans to join forces.
J.E. Jamerson and Sons of Appomattox and C.L. Lewis and Company of Lynchburg are planning to merge in the first quarter of next year.
The new company will be called Jamerson-Lewis Construction, and will be headquartered in Lynchburg.
Phillip Jamerson calls the move "strategic" and says the merger will help them compete with larger firms.
