      Tuesday Marks 20 Year Anniversary of Damaging Windstorm

      Lynchburg, VA - 20 years ago today, a windstorm similar to last year's derecho blew through the Hill City, leaving widespread damage.

      On June 4th, 1993, the National Weather Service started issuing warnings about 4:00 p.m. Two hours later, the storm had left its mark.

      More than 95% of the city of Lynchburg lost power, including WSET.
