Trial Scheduled for Rocky Mount Firefighter Death Lawsuit

Rocky Mount, VA - A three-day trial in a case that involved the death of two Rocky Mount firefighters started Monday morning.
The case stems back to July of 2010. Officials say that afternoon, Teri Anne Valentine hit a fire truck in her SUV, causing it to roll three times.
Two volunteer firefighters, William Altice, 67, and Posey Dillon, 59, were thrown from the fire truck and killed. Posey Dillon was driving the fire truck at the time.
The plaintiff, Christia Altice-Weaver says Valentine and Dillon were both "grossly negligent" at the time of accident.
That trial began at 9 a.m. Monday morning.
