Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg judge has scheduled a trial date for a Richmond man accused of murdering his elderly mother-in-law.
Scott Miles is charged with the first-degree murder of Lynda Slocum.
Slocum's body was found inside her home on Ravenwood Drive in December 2012.
Lynchburg police arrested Miles after he allegedly gave inconsistent statements about where he was December 19 and 20.
Monday morning a judge set aside three days for his jury trial beginning October 28.
