Town of Rocky Mount to Replace Damaged Fire Truck

Rocky Mount to replace firetruck from this wreck in July

Rocky Mount, VA - The town of Rocky Mount will soon have a new fire truck to replace the one that was destroyed in a deadly crash involving two firefighters last year.

In July, Fire Chief Posey Dillon and firefighter Danny Altice died, after their fire truck collided with a car. Town officials say it will cost about $400,000 to replace the fire truck. The town received insurance money to pay for it.

They expect it to take about eight months for that new truck to arrive.
