City Council Showed Support for Wildlife Rehab in Danville

Danville, VA - Great news for one wildlife expert in Danville. Tuesday night, City Council voted unanimously to approve a zoning amendment to allow Tanya Lovern to operate her wildlife rehab operation in a new location.

Lovern has run the Southern Virginia Wildlife Center out of her home since 2005, but now she hopes to move to over an acre of land on Hunter Street in Danville.
Lovern says she's pleased with the council's decision.
"They supported me a great deal and they made me feel very loved and very wanted here and I really appreciate it. I'm very excited to move forward, " she said.
Lovern must get an additional special use permit to continue moving forward, which she has already started the paperwork for.
