Bedford Co., VA - You can peek inside some beautiful Smith Mountain Lake homes and help local charities this weekend.
The 22nd Annual Charity Home Tour kicks off this Friday and will feature eight lake homes. Organizers say the tour showcases the work of local craftsmen and builders. The tour is expected to generate $100,000 dollars for several local charities. Organizers also hope it will make people feel a little more connected to the lake.
"It's a chance for people around the lake to get to know one another. And, it's a chance for people especially people from Lynchburg, Roanoke, and those people who live at the lake to get to know each other," said Bill Piatt, President and CEO of the Smith Mountain Lake Home Tour.
The Charity Home tour runs through Sunday. Click here for ticket information.
