Pittsylvania Co., VA - Volunteers from a Pittsylvania County church were up early Thursday morning to make a Thanksgiving meal for those who can't afford to.
Ringgold Baptist Church had their sixth annual Thanksgiving meal at noon.
Church members even went to downtown Danville to give some people a ride to the church. They served 100, many of them homeless.
The event organizer says it's helping those less fortunate that makes it so rewarding to put together.
"I hear people all the time saying this is the best meal that they've had all year, so I think they really enjoy it and they all wanted to have some to take back home too because it's so good," said Matt Foster.
The people that came to eat also left with a goody bag and an opportunity to choose from a wide range of donated clothing items.
