"The Gambit" Wins Best Of Lynchburg in 48 Hour Film Project

Lynchburg, VA - It usually takes months of preparation to film a movie.

But 17 teams had to finish their projects in 48 hours. Those crews showed off their finished product at Cinemark Movies 10 Wednesday night. Participants had to draw their genre out of a hat and then took off to begin the challenge.

"It was an incredible opportunity for people to create something that actually ended up on the movie theater," said LaShonda Delivuk, producer at Life Focus Pictures. "This is never going to happen for most people and we put 17 films on the big screen in our first year!"

A number of winners were announced, including Best of Lynchburg. Congratulations to The Gambit filmed by Abandon, which will represent Lynchburg at the international film festival Filmapalooza in Hollywood in 2015.
