The Buzz: June 1-3

It's week three of Friday Cheers in Lynchburg, and if the rain holds out on Friday, it should be another great party. The band Dragonfly hits the stage at 6 p.m. playing a mix of popular songs. It's all at Riverfront Park from 5:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Altavista is hosting its 63rd Uncle Billy's Day Festival{}June 1-2. If you love live music, car shows and flea markets, you don't want to miss it. The two-day festival kicks of Friday and will have five bands performing, games for kids and fireworks on Saturday.

On June 3, the Bluegrass Benefit is raising money for Deborah Cantrell. She's a lung cancer survivor, but is still needs to have surgery and rehab. Five bands will be performing at the Bingo Hall in Madison Heights at 117 Seminole Drive. It's 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. for a $10 donation.{}

The Forest Fire Company is hosting its 6th annual Truck and Tractor Pull on June 2. It kicks off at 10 a.m. with the antique pull and then the fast pull is at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10.{}
