The Buzz: Fall Festival & Hokie Bugfest
It's going to be a beautiful weekend, and you can enjoy it at an outdoor festival in Concord. You can get in the Halloween spirit at the 3rd annual Fall Family Fun Festival. Come out to DeVault Family Vineyards Saturday, October 20 for a day of haunted trails, a costume contest and of course wine tasting. The band LED will be on stage at 2 p.m., and then Dragonfly will perform at 5 p.m. There will also be a silent auction to raise money for LPD Helping Hands.
If you love bugs and creepy crawlers, you don't want to miss the 2nd Annual Hokie Bugfest. Virginia Tech is hosting the festival where you can check out cool bug exhibits with spiders and scorpions. You can also check out a flea circus show. That's 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Inn at Virginia Tech.
A popular and late-night stand-up comedian is coming to Roanoke, and tickets go on sale this weekend. Lisa Lampanelli will perform at the Roanoke Performing Arts Theatre December 14. Lampanelli is known for her outrageous and at times vulgar comedy. If you're interested, tickets go on sale October 19. You can get them here.
