The Buzz: Ellington Fridays, Train Lovers' Weekend & Chocolate Showcase
Ellington Fridays are back in Lynchburg. So if you love good music and great company, you may want to check out their lineup.
This Friday, February 8, the band Work Release will be in concert. The classic rock and blues band plays high energy dance tunes and also come more laid back tracks. Doors open at 6 p.m. and tickets are $10 at the door.
And if you're into more aggressive music -Phase 2 is the place to be Saturday. The heavy metal band Sevendust will be on stage. Also the bands Lacuna Coil and Avatar will perform. That starts at 8 p.m. You can buy tickets here.
In Roanoke, it's Train Lovers' Weekend! Come out to the Museum of Transportation for train rides, a scavenger hunt and a train history lesson. It's $5 Saturday and Sunday.
And if you love chocolate you don't want to miss the annual Chocolate Showcase in Lynchburg. The vendors at the community market will have artisan chocolates and this year, there will also be workshops! You can learn how to make truffles and a flourless torte. That's 7 AM to 2 PM in Lynchburg.
