Lynchburg, VA - If you need a place to take your kids this summer, look no further than Amazement Square.
Their Summer Spectacular just kicked off Tuesday in downtown Lynchburg.The Summer Spectacular features special programs that are free with admission on each designated day.
Today was Tuesday Discovery which is all about experiencing new sensations.
There are daily programs like Wacky Wednesdays where you create lively artwork or Focus Fridays for constructing crafts based on the day's theme.
These specials run through August 23rd and will finish with a block party celebration.
In addition to these weekly programs, the Amazement Square offers four floors of fun and discovery.
Just today, some kids got to travel back in time to the 1770's when flatboatsmen traveled the James River from Lynchburg to Richmond.Others got see the NASA program and experience what it was like to go to the moon 45-years ago.
